I have always been a big fan of the television series Northern Exposure (later just NE). I liked it when it first aired in Finland in the 1990's and I still do. Last winter I ordered a complete dvd box of 14 discs from Amazon dot com. There are six seasons and a total of 110 episodes of NE. Each episode can be numbered as x.y where x is the season and y is the episode number; thus eleventh episode of season five would be marked as 5.11 plus the written Title.

Yesterday I was talking about one particular episode of NE to my wife and she suggested that I could do a series of photographs inspired by individual NE episodes. Now that's a great idea. _{My wife often has better ideas than myself.}

So in the future I shall be uploading every now and then a photograph inspired by NE. Heck, I live in the north so in a way all of my photographs are northern exposures. I shall name my 'NE inspired' photographs according to the original NE titles such as 3.12 Our Tribe.

It could very well be that my 'NE inspired' photographs will not mean anything to you and you might not be able to figure out the connection between my work and the corresponding episode but hey I'll do this for myself and that's enough!
