Gotcha! by wchild Gotcha! by wchild

Finding something from the sidewalk. I think it was a business card. After picking it up she took a few steps and stopped to read it.

This can never be seen here in Serbia...
Great and I love the high key effect.

I agree with much of what Mary wrote. In short, I feel that I need more context. I don't mind your processing style, though. ;)

You're right. The context is missing. It's a snapshot allright. I saw her approaching, focused, followed her and all of a sudden she bent down so I clicked without further thought! :D

Street photography is a life long journey I think. =)

Thanks for your input.

:icontheyardplayground: the image would have certainly been more interesting if we could see what she picked up from the ground. And the image has a bit overedited look, with too many detail in the concrete and a bit over sharpened. It looks more a candid portrait than a street image because of the tight frame and vague background. Nevertheless a curious moment that you were quick to capture and the body gesture, and I found it curious the male clothes the woman wears.

I agree. The hard tonal contrast for sure is not street-like and there's not a real 'catch' or that special something to make it pure street. Thanks for your response. It's much appreciated. =)
