As I returned home from the work today, for some reason I suddenly remembered that during last winter I once saw a box full of old (unused but had been in stock for a looong time) filters, rubber lens hoods and lens front caps at a local photography store. I also remembered that I quickly checked them all back then but there were nothing useful or interesting for me since the filters were generally very small in size and thus useless for my Nikkor lenses needing mainly 77 mm filters.
Small ?!..
49 mm ??! (= filter size for my beloved Fujifilm X100s)

Could it be ???!..

So I rushed there just before they closed and
lo and behold they still had that box full of miscellaneous filters, hoods and lens caps. The label on the box said 1 EUR/pcs. Obviously nobody else had been interested in them either since the box was still full. I started browsing through those filters again and I soon found four different kinds of 49 mm filters. Sort of offhandedly I asked what they'd charge me for those. The lady behind the desk told me that she would feel like robbing me if she'd charge me more than 2 EUR for those four filters. I said thank you kindly, paid and left. Jeez..
The filters are;
- UN UV filter
- Hoya soft spot
- Hoya HMC K2 yellow
- Hoya close-up +3
I don't know how much I'll be using them but 50 cents per filter is not too expensive I'd say.

First X100s shots coming soon. .
